More progress! Im onto my 3rd try with this shot, but the subtle acting is very important and i really want to get it right! The first version was looking good, but unfortunately it was too long. The second version is the one i will be moving forward with.

Here is last nights 1st attempt at redoing my shot for the film "Hello Debora". These are only rough key frames and there is only one character for now, but hopefully i can move forward pretty soon here once my lead takes a look at my progress!

More progress on the "Domestic Incident" project for intermediate 3D animation class!

Here is some stuff im working on in my advanced 2D animation class. Im assisting the BFA class with a short film project for adobe and have been assigned a shot for the film "Hello Debora". Here is my first pass at the shot. My group liked it but there were some obvious flaws and ill be starting over with a new layout and a slightly less abusive older sister character!

Here's some fun stuff from my favorite class! My 3d animation class :) we have to pose a character with a specific emotion or action every week which is always fun. The video is some progress from the shot im working on called "domestic incident". Basically, we could animate anything that happens within the confines of a home. I chose to make my character fall since I knew it would e a bit of a challenge and besides, who doesn't like to watch a guy fall?

So a few nights ago i had a dream. It was very vivid and beautiful and i cant get the image out of my head, so ive decided to make it into a personal project and make an illustration out of it! Here are a few of the preliminary sketches:

You might have noticed the illustration may involve mermaids.....im so excited!

Its now 10:28 in the pm. Ive watched the videos of myself purposely falling on the ground for about an hour now and used them to plan out the key poses for my animation! (ya my homework is pretty awesome) This process always seemed like such an annoying hassle, but now that i know how seriously helpful it is, i totally enjoy it. I cant wait to animate an guy falling flat on his booty. Here's how its gonna go:

I cant say they are the best drawings i have ever created, but we get the point......well, if you don't i do. Also, please don't mind my horrendous hand writing. The next step is to get everything approved by my Professor and the HAZZAH! Let the animating begin! Im so glad ya'll are gonna be here for this!

So my first documented artistic endeavor in wonderland will be a project im working on in my intermediate animation class. Did i mention i am an animator? An animator in training anyway. Our project is to animate a domestic incident, or as my teacher described it "anything that can happen in a house". A bit broad id say. The "incident" ive chosen to animate will show a young man leaning on a chair in pride then slipping on the ground.....ive taken it upon myself to gather some reference. They say if you want something done right, do it yourself....so here are some videos ive taken of myself falling on the ground in the name of art.....enjoy.
